An Eleventh of September

Flybitten swelling hand
I think I missed a class
Or more
Perhaps an entire semester
Or decade
In which they
Built a digital story
The preparation
And preface
To a dream

In a crack
Some shadows built a college
Where they spoke of the deity
And his requirements
For the greater pavement
And shed a slice
Of umbra
Across the road
To darken
Distant furniture.

Winter will crush
The insect
This week will
Deflate the palm
Analogue answers
Will whisper tech
In Chinese version
The fallen furniture:
Analytic monument
To the inefficiency and waste
Of the Halogen.
